When you know your pet is struggling, but you just aren’t sure if today is THE day…it may be time for a quality of life (QOL) discussion. This can be done via phone or video call. Some tips to help get the most out of this discussion:

–Have everyone present for the call that wishes to be part of the decision process

 

–Have a list of questions ready, if any

 

–Choose a time for the call with minimal distractions

 

–If your pet has a recently diagnosed chronic/terminal condition that you would like a second opinion about, please email me those records ahead of time if possible (drwood@empathyvetcare.com)
